Rev. Moses Taylor
Reverend Moses Taylor, Sr. (1923-1993), the father of First Lady Sylvia T. Flippin and husband of Mother Earline Maxwell Taylor (1927-2012) lived, believed and taught his family that because we love the Lord our life, mission and purpose should reflect that in all that we do. Therefore, as we stand on our father and grandfather’s shoulders The Flippin Legacy Ministry’s mission is not to do God’s work for popularity , position or power but simply because we love the Lord. This photo is the 1987 groundbreaking ceremony of the present edifice of the Sylvan Street Baptist Church, Nashville, Tennessee which Rev. Taylor pastored for forty-two years. Grandaddy Taylor, we are standing on your broad shoulders.
